FAQ Q.1: What is the treatment like? A: It is not a spray. It is fog generating treatment, (see
image on title page) this machine (German made)
converts chemicals into fog and fog can travel into all holes, cracks,
crevices and ant's nests. Also micro smoke particles (less than 5
micron) adhere to walls, ceilings and building foundations. This
treatment could be slightly expensive but it is cost effective and
will meet the clients requirements. That is why we give one
years guarantee. Q.2 : What sort of chemical? A: it is pyrethroid, a man-made chemical which
is similar to chemicals naturally occurring in plants (pyrethrins).
It has properties of rapid action, low mammalian toxicity,
repellence, broad spectrum, lack of persistence, residual and
biodegradable. Q.3: How safe is the treatment? A: it is totally safe for warm blooded organism, once fog has
settled. Q.4: For how long do I need to be out of the
premises? A: Four hours in most instances. Q.5: What about my animals and birds etc? A: They should temporarily be housed elsewhere as they may become
distressed while the smoke is in the air. Q.6: I have goldfish/aquarium. What should I do
with them? A: The tank should be covered with several layers of cloth. Q7: What about a smoke alarm, or an intruder
alarm? A: They must be deactivated or the security firm
informed. Q.8: Do I need to cover my furniture etc? A: It is best not to cover surfaces such as furniture, windows
sills etc. This allows the fog to work where the insects are likely to
settle. Q.9: What about food and utensils? Food should be covered or placed in the refrigerator, and utensils
must be covered with cloth etc. Q10: what cleaning up do I need to do when I
re-enter the premises? A: Flush off exposed eating utensils. Wipe surfaces such as the
table and sink bench with a damp cloth. Other surfaces should not be
wiped for a least four days after treatment, to allow the fog to
adhere. Most insects such as borers and flies go for
light, so it is particularly important not to wipe windows sills
immediately. Q.11:
… and what about my washing? A: No need to re-wash clothing and sheets etc., after treatment. Q.12: For how long does the treatment remain
effective?
A: The treatment is designed so that sunlight slowly degrades it .
So it depends how much sun the area gets, but it does last for few
months. Q.13: I am asthmatic/ under medication/ have
a baby/ pregnant ; is there any effects on health? A: Not at all. Q.14: Will this treatment make, drips and stains
on wall papers or articles, drops on windows/glasses or damping etc.? A: Not at all. This is a fogging treatment and there is no
possibility of causing damage. Q.15: My indoor plants are safe or do I have to
remove them? A: They are fine where they are. There is no need to cover them or
move elsewhere. Q.16: what about my computer or other machines
like that? A:
We would suggest you cover them just key board. Q.17:
Should I cover toys? A: yes please!!! Particularly baby and toddler toys. You can cover
with bed sheets or any big piece of cloth etc. Q.18: Should I open wardrobes and Cupboards? A: Yes, the reason is fog will go and kill all hiding pests. Q.19:
What parts of house do you treat? A: Basement (under floor), attic, and all rooms (interior),
Garage. Q.20: Should I clean up/wash/repaint surface
before pest control treatment? A: No, if you have any doubts and queries please ask. Q.21: How often should my house need to be
treated? A: Preferably annually as a maintenance measure. Q. 22: How should I re-enter after inside
treatment? A: First open the back doors and stay outside for 15-20 minutes;
so air can go through and ventilate. Now you can go inside and open
all windows and doors until odor has gone. Usually takes 2 - 3
hours, meanwhile you can stay inside. Q.23: Do you guarantee your job, for how long ? A: Our work normally 100% successful. If you feel that the result
is not satisfactory we will carry out maintenance or further treatment
within three months of the initial application. Q.24: Do you have references for your work, in
our areas? A: Yes, !!!! We can provide references on request. Q.
25: How much, it will cost me? A: As it has mentioned before, it is not an air compressor
spraying system. It is total fogging treatment, it makes a
quality job without stains and dripping/drops on
